Job Description:

Automotive Sales Manager



Duties/Responsibilities:


? Build and maintain a successful Sales staff


? Prospect and build relations with sales business


? Responsible for developing and cultivating existing and potential New Car accounts


? Plan and execute prospecting/sales activities


? Execute forecasted objectives set by GM


? Conduct vehicle sales activities and processes


? Conduct business-to-business marketing activities and processes


? Raises the level of professionalism in the Sales Department by paying attention to both small details and large problems, and addresses those issues in a respectful and composed manner


? Creates and implements ways to reduce expenses in the Sales Department


? Creates and implements ways to increase profitability in the Sales Department


? Ensures sales team accuracy with customer paperwork


? Effectively plans and controls his/her workday to maximize staff activities and meet business needs


? Adjusts schedule based upon the time of day, how busy the dealership is, the capabilities of the Sales Consultants, and other factors


? Makes time for important tasks that are not urgent, like coaching, staff development, and creating processes that solve problems before they occur


? Consistently works with each team member to set goals based on their abilities, experience, strengths, and weaknesses



Requirements:

? Previous automotive managerial experience with a proven track record


? Ability to organize, manage and grow a business


? Ability to create and maintain excellent relationships with Sales customers


? Develop and maintain high level of product knowledge


? Friendly, approachable and outgoing style


? Keen understanding of people, ideas and organizations


? Superior communication and customer service skills


? Masters situations or information easily and quickly


? Integrity and a strong work ethic
