Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU - CVICU Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Surgical ICU experience - Proficiency in interpretation/management of dysrhythmias - Familiarity with IV insulin protocols - Experience with chronic/acute renal failure - Skilled in arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care - Competent in PICC line management, IVs, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation - Ability to titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive drips - Knowledge of hypothermia protocol - Competence in assisting with CPAP/BiPAP management, care of ventilated patients, HFNC - Proficiency in ABG interpretation, suctioning, ventilator management - Understanding of infection prevention and isolation precautions - Experience with surgical wounds with drains/wound vac Job Description: - Work in a Level 2 Trauma facility with a comprehensive stroke center and an advanced cardiac/open-heart program - Provide care for ICU and CVICU patients - Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed - Work every other weekend or every third weekend - Utilize equipment such as EPIC and GE monitors - Maintain a professional appearance in navy blue scrub colors - Required to be a local traveler with a 100-mile traveler radius rule - Care for a mixed patient population, including medical, surgical, cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, neuro, neurosurgical, and trauma Note: The hospital has stroke certification and a trauma level 2 designation.
