qualified Med/Surg RN in Pocatello, Idaho, 83201 About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job
Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Guaranteed Hours: Option for 48H or 36H Experience: Minimum years
of experience not specified License: Current RN licensure in the
state required Certifications: - Current BLS certification required
- ACLS within 12 months of hire Must-Have: - Graduate of an
accredited school of nursing Job Description: - Utilize the
knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver
nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital
policies, procedures, and protocols. - Respond to life-threatening
situations with appropriate nursing interventions. - Organize care
delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and
communicating with all necessary providers/leaders on an ongoing
basis. - Demonstrate knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing
Process for patients across various age groups, including infants,
pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. - Document
thoroughly as care is delivered, following regulatory and hospital
requirements. - Assume responsibility for clinical competencies and
professional development of self and others. - Practice in a
clinical environment through the application of theoretical
knowledge and practical skills. - Ability to work varied shifts
and/or days, including weekends and holidays. - Utilize good
judgment, demonstrate patience, and adhere to best practices for
patient care as expected by department leaders. - Maintain a
professional demeanor at all times. - Adapt to a busy, stressful
work environment where practice changes to meet new patient safety
requirements, goals, or objectives. - Competent in using computer
skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical
records software. - Exhibit strong organizational skills and the
ability to prioritize and manage workload expectations. -
Demonstrate interpersonal verbal communication and advanced math
skills. - Exercise creativity, problem analysis, teamwork, and
decision-making. - Must adhere to the 100-mile radius rule.
