Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Surgical ICU experience - Skills in interpretation/management of dysrhythmias - Experience with IV insulin protocols - Knowledge of chronic/acute renal failure management - Arterial line management expertise - Experience in blood product administration - Central line and PICC line management - Proficiency in IVs, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation - Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips - Familiarity with hypothermia protocol - Assist with the management of CPAP/BiPAP - Care of ventilated patients and HFNC - Interpretation of ABGs and suctioning - Ventilator management skills - Infection prevention and isolation precautions - Experience with surgical wounds, including drains/wound vac Job Description: - Work in a Level 2 Trauma facility with comprehensive stroke center and advanced cardiac program - Care for ICU and CVICU patients - Patient ratios of 1:2 - Manage a 20-bed unit with a general ICU mixed patient population, including medical, surgical, cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, neuro, neuro-surgical, and trauma patients - Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as required - Provide weekend coverage every other or every third weekend - Utilize EPIC and GE monitors for patient care - Wear navy blue scrubs as standard uniform - Complete modules during orientation onsite with average hours for RNs at 4-6 per module - Modules are recorded via transcripts for compliance Preferred Certifications: PALS, TNCC Note: A 100-mile traveler radius is in effect; travelers must live at least 100 miles away from the facility.
