launch your career today. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking
a Staff Engineer Systems Test. This position will be located in
Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel - Ground Based Strategic
Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive
relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do: As the test
engineering technical lead of GN&C I&T, responsibilities
include but are not limited to overall technical quality of the
integration & test organization products and procedures, test
equipment requirements development, test equipment validation,
requirements verification & validation, model-based systems
engineering, agile processes, technical risk assessment and
tracking, and integration and system performance testing. ---
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and
validation, cost and risk assessment/tracking for the Guidance
System (Guidance Computer, Guidance Computer Software,
Navigation/Inertial Measurement System, and other classified
LRUs).--- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of Systems
Engineering, customer, product, and end-user requirements into test
equipment systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule,
and cost constraints.--- Performs functional analysis, timeline
analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and
interface definition studies to translate end-user requirements
into hardware and software specifications.--- Support all phases of
the systems life-cycle including concept, design, fabrication,
procurement, integration, test, installation, operation,
maintenance and disposal.--- Ensure overall quality of I&T
products and processes to include: test equipment design, test
plans/procedures, test execution, and test reporting.--- Work with
functional homeroom to identify missing processes and/or improve
existing test processes for various environments (i.e. lab, ground)
to ensure quality and safety.--- Work with internal customers (i.e.
Systems Engineering) to ensure quality of inputs to I&T and
work with end-users (i.e. other test teams) to ensure I&T
products meet quality and desired needs. As a full-time employee of

standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows
employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take
every other Friday off. You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree; 12
years with a Masters; 9 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of
experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher
(awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a
Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
- Candidate must have an inertial GN&C background (Preferred
experience with strategic grade IMU's)
- Candidate must have integration and test experience, specific
to test design/execution & test equipment design and
development.
- Experience designing and executing experiments in support of
closed loop dynamics tests, inertial performance testing, and
sub-system qualification.
- Experienced in designing, building, and operating test
beds.These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher
(awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a
Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
- Strong experience in systems engineering for complex air or
space vehicle projects
- SMEs, vendors, subcontractors and government customers.
- Familiarity with unit and system environmental level testing
and test equipment development
- Familiarity with role of real-time simulators in HWIL
usage
- Familiarity with vehicle simulator development
- Familiarity with missile systems
- Experience working in an agile team
- Experience leading and managing schedule & budget
- Demonstrated record of collaboration among multiple subsystem
teams
- Experience working with performance testing of inertial
guidance systems.
- Strong Systems Engineering background and understanding of
Systems Engineering concepts (i.e. requirements, verification
planning, model-based Systems Engineering)Salary Range: $143,800 -
$215,600The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be
eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual
bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as
allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice
President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
