Job Title: Lead, Specialist, Systems EngineerJob Code: 16449Job Location: Salt Lake City, UTJob Schedule: 9/80, off every other Friday -Position Overview:The Project Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for the life-cycle support of protected SATCOM data link systems from conceptual development through product phase-out. This includes proposal support, requirements analysis and management, task planning, technical documentation (including generation of Statements of Work and specifications), design oversight participation, design synthesis in a multi-functional engineering environment, build and test support, subcontract control, risk management input, integration and verification test support, system deployment support and in-house technical support during the operational life-cycle of the system. -Essential Responsibilities:

• Provides extensive systems engineering expertise in a broad field of engineering, research, evaluation and development for highly complex and technical SATCOM, airborne and ground products
• Performs research and development in assigned engineering discipline.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of technical projects or portions of projects.
  • Specifies, architects, analyzes, models, establishes flow downs and verifies designs, tests and verifies complex engineering tasks in electrical, mechanical, optical, software, systems, and/or hardware components
  • Assists in the capture and/or management of customer and derived requirements, decomposition and assignment of requirements to appropriate functional areas of responsibility, insuring traceability from a verification test matrix back to original customer and system level derived requirements.
    • Provides support to lead engineers in developing technical specifications, interface control documents, test plans and procedures, configuration analysis and processing solutions, and test conformance to specifications.
    • Ensures technical performance, quality, and adherence to schedule.
    • Follows processes in conformance with established policies and objectives.
    • Coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel.
    • Provide technical consultation to internal organizations and/or customers.
    • Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
    • Participate in design reviews.
    • Travels when required to support customer installation, demonstrations and general field support. -Basic Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. -Preferred Qualifications:
        • Experience in product development a plus (preferably in military application environment).
        • Experience with type 1 encryption products and cyber security
        • Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual).
        • Problem solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
        • Understanding in coordination of project(s) and efforts of technical support personnel.
        • Ability to productively contribute work, ideas and collaboration as part of a team.
