Every day you will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate payment processing and to recover any underpaid amounts. To thrive in this role, you must utilize analytical skills to review payment data, identify trends, and implement solutions to prevent future underpayments.Here's what you will experience working in Underpayments Analyst:You will be investigating and analyzing claims to identify denial reasons and create appeal letters to resolve any issues. You can expect to contact providers to learn the status of previously resubmitted claims, written appeals, or updates on incoming claims payments.Utilizing strong attention to detail you will calculate expected claim reimbursement and notate accounts with updates received via email/phone from insurance companies.You can expect a team you can rely on, including a mentor that cares about your progress toward your career goals.Root cause analysis of identified trending issues.Analyze payment data to identify underpayment trends and discrepancies.Required QualificationsDemonstrated excellent analytical, fact-finding, problems solving and organizational skills as well as the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing with staff, patients, and insurance plan administrators.Experience in hospital billing.Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team setting.At least one year experience in interpreting hospital contracts.For this US-based position, the base pay range is $17.81 - $25.89 per hour .
